
Fiscal Sponsorship
Fiscal sponsorship allows independent filmmakers to access charitable funding and grants that are typically limited to nonprofit organizations. Through this sponsorship, we can accept tax-deductible donations and apply for foundation and government support under the umbrella of Film Independent’s nonprofit status, all while retaining full creative control of the project.
Film Independent is a Los Angeles–based nonprofit arts organization that champions creative independence in visual storytelling and supports a community of artists who embody diversity, innovation, and uniqueness of vision. Best known for producing the Spirit Awards and the LA Film Festival, Film Independent provides filmmakers with resources, education, and fiscal sponsorship to bring their stories to life both on screen and in the world. $5000-Executive Producer
Credit: "Executive Producer" credit in opening and closing credits. Also includes: IMDb credit, Name/logo on press materials (if desired), private consultation or 1:1 call with the filmmakers, listed on pitch deck / investor documents
