Chris Jaymes

Chris Jaymes is an award-winning actor, director, writer, and musician with over three decades of experience in the entertainment industry. His multifaceted career spans film, television, theater, and music, marked by a commitment to emotionally resonant storytelling.

 

As an actor, Jaymes has appeared in numerous television series, including Lost, Party of Five, Chicago Hope, and Law & Order: Organized Crime. His film credits feature roles in Father's Day alongside Robin Williams and Billy Crystal, as well as his own directorial debut, In Memory of My Father, which garnered multiple international awards, including Best Feature at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival .

Behind the camera, Jaymes has directed a variety of projects, such as the feature films The Cottage and Dancer in Danger, and television series including Bad Samaritans and Making a Scene starring William Shatner .​

In addition to his film and television work, Jaymes is the author of the graphic novel Sons of Chaos, a historical retelling of the Greek Revolution of 1821, published by Penguin Random House . His non-fiction book, Boxing Day, chronicles his experiences as an aid worker during the 2004 tsunami in Southeast Asia.

A classically trained pianist, Jaymes studied at Berklee College of Music and has performed with various artists, including the band Bootstraps. His musical background informs his storytelling approach, often integrating rhythmic and lyrical elements into his work.
