Mele Black is a writer, actor, and multidisciplinary artist whose work is rooted in emotional truth, visual poetry, and deeply human storytelling. Drawing from a background in music and neurodivergent perception, Mele came to film through instinct, not as a calculated career path. Since beginning her acting journey in 2022, she has starred in multiple feature films such as "Abduction: The Harvesting", which is streaming on all platforms. She is also due to play a supporting role in the action film "A violent world", filming this summer. Mele has been in a handful of short films as well as 3 stage productions. Recently, Mele co-starred in and originated the story concept for Shady Palms, a satirical comedy about a group of increasingly unhinged neighbors in a dysfunctional HOA. Her original treatment, which served as the foundation for the stage adaptation, is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office under her name. Mele lives in Los Angeles with her two children, her ever-patient husband, a dog, a cat, and a dwindling school of fish.
